About the Role
A major Dallas healthcare facility is hiring Security Officers to maintain a safe environment for patients, families, visitors, and staff. This is a front-line role — you'll be a trained responder for high-risk situations and a core part of the facility's safety operations.
This is not a passive post. Expect a fast-moving environment where your judgment, de-escalation skills, and ability to act under pressure matter every shift.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Respond to workplace violence, medical emergencies, fire, bomb threats, flooding, hazmat situations, and other critical incidents
- Conduct weapons screening at facility entry points
- Provide de-escalation support for patients, families, and staff during crisis situations
- Patrol assigned areas — internal and external — to identify signs of crime, hazards, or suspicious activity
- Write detailed incident reports accurate enough for legal proceedings and personnel reviews
Requirements
What They're Looking For
Experience
- 1+ year in security, healthcare, hospitality, law enforcement, or military (required)
- 2+ years in security, law enforcement, or military (preferred)
Education
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or Security (preferred)
Licenses & Certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Texas DPS Private Security Bureau — Level 2 or Level 3
- CHSO Basic Level Certification (IAHSS)
